Glowing Attraction
Marta Djourina
Marta Djourina's artistic practice focuses on the exploration of light phenomena. Through cameraless photography and historical techniques such as Kirlian photography, she documents the invisible aspects of light. Her work includes the use of homemade pinhole cameras and the capture of living light sources such as bioluminescent algae and fungi, as well as sunlight. Djourina's works, often described as ‘blind drawings’, translate light movements into dynamic compositions and thus expand the perception of natural phenomena.
