In In this exhibition, Heiko Sievers, director of the Goethe-Institut in New Delhi since 2010, presents his views of West Berlin in the early 1980s. We see people in the subway or on the streets and a specific city atmosphere, but above all the author’s state of mind in Berlin at that time. The work gradually developed out of fleeting perceptions and became a real project when Heiko Sievers was accepted into the Workshop for Photography of Michael Schmidt in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
In 2016, Peperoni Books published his book with the same title.
